Just to re-cap…
Names that employers, co-workers or other outside sales people have called me that aren’t my actual name:
Emily (More as a term of affection by my old boss. Having seen The Devil Wears Prada, she declared me her “Emily”. The nickname stuck.)
Lisa (Former boss’ father’s incorrect interpretation of my name.)
Trish (Former boss’ father’s name for me the second summer interning. He would often ask Trish if she had seen Liz because he had some work for her. That terrible Liz was never around when he needed her, what a horrible employee.)
Lisa (v.2.0 Current building attendant’s interpretation of my name. Usually mumbled quickly when she hurries past my desk after stealing a piece or two of fruit from our kitchen or wandering about the office without permission.)
Carla (slimy catering manager trying to sweet talk my boss with promises of a free lunch at his restaurant for her and “Carla” while pointing to me. There is no Carla employed here.)
